Hillsboro Subaru Repair

Had a wonderful experience with Accolade! I had been trying to find a used Subaru for a number of months and had not had any luck until I went to Accolade! Jon was extremely helpful when it came to replacing my older Subaru and provided a very good deal for my trade-in! My new Subaru had all updated parts and Jon was very transparent about all the costs and past history of the car. Jon was very helpful and always was available to answer questions. When I first picked up my car, I had an issue with one of the tires after business hours and Jon answered and let me drop off the car that night! I am very thankful to have been able to purchase a car with Accolade and have been recommending them to all of my friends and family! Thank you so much Jon!

Short version: I had a great experience buying at Accolade Auto and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a high quality used Subaru. Long Version: I was on Craigslist looking at Foresters and Outbacks about 10 years old. I wanted one that had already had the head gasket replaced and was up to date with timing belts, etc. When I found a Forester at Accolade I was immediately impressed by all the work they had done getting it ready for sale. They did the head gaskets with better than OEM replacements, and also the clutch and timing belt. In addition, they replaced just about every other seal you can get to with the engine out. Thermostat, spark plugs, the whole shebang. The car ran great and had brand new all terrain tires, and Jon warranties all of the work that he has done for a year. Not the whole car, but I felt really confident in his inspection and didn't think he would leave something intentionally unfixed. After a nice test drive with John I put down a deposit immediately. Here is where the top notch service really started. After dealing with the bank I went back to pick up the car. It was the end of the day and so I left the shop just as they were closing. About 20 miles down the road the check engine light came on. I pulled the code and it was the catalytic converter. My first thought was that this was definitely not included in the warranty since he had never fixed it. Still, Jon seemed like a great guy so I called him the next morning to see if we could work something out. After I told him about the code and acknowledged that it technically wasn't under warranty he interrupted and said "That's not the kind of shop I'm running." We scheduled and appointment and he replaced the catalytic converter free of charge. He was well within his rights to send me on my way, but he really believes in sending you out with a well tuned vehicle. I plan to get all of my future work done there. A word of advice... All of the vehicles they sell seem to be in great shape and they sell fast. The lot looks different from week to week. If you see one online I'd go sooner rather than later and be ready to put down a deposit.

We had the best experience at Accolade Auto. I came in with a problem that I thought was going to break the bank. They took their time and found some solutions to the problem that we’re much more affordable. I was really impressed. Everyone was super honest and seemed like all they wanted to do was help me. This will be my first stop moving forward.

I loved working with Jon. As I searched to purchase a Subaru Forester, I looked at 5 dealerships and went to 4 in person, including Accolade. Only 2 actually did their own work on the cars and would warranty their work. I purchased through Jon because he gave us such confidence in the work and quality of service. This is obviously a passion for him! He takes pride in the service he provides and doesn't put pressure on your purchase which I highly respect. I've purchased through dealers and private party and the experience can be difficult for so many reasons. If you're looking for a Subaru sold by a straight shooter who will explain the process to you, Jon is your guy!

Accolade Auto is phenomenal in customer service and mechanics ! We bought our son his first car through a private party in Washington. We knew it needed work(but we didn't realize how much) ! We found Accolade via the internet. Took our 2002 Subaru Outback to them to look over the car and make the necessary repairs to get the car in good condition for our son to drive. Accolade greeted us with kind ,caring , honest and very helpful advice for our son's car. There was a lot more to repair than we had anticipated, but Accolade walked us through what needed to be done immediately and could be postponed for a few months. During these last few months of slowly getting this car up and running Accolade has been with us every step of the way : through onsite service , warranty work (they stand behind their products), frantic phone calls (Thank you, John and Ann) if the car was acting up again, curb side service (clearing codes), and one on one explanations of the repairs that were done (Thank you Spencer and John!). Accolade has guided us through quite the mechanical adventure with this car (we have learned a lot) and now we have a great 2002 Outback that will get our son through his last two years of High School and off to college. Our Family owns several Subaru, we bring them all to accolade. We have had them do some strange things... they found the cause of a strange noise was an old dried orange had found it's way into the frame rails.
